"Would you be interested in writing the website copy for a wedding planner in Lake Como I'm working with?" asked the lovely Caroline of Making Waves. "Hmmm... let me think about that" for all of two minutes.

It's not often I take on a marketing project when I'm not involved in the creative direction, but the opportunity was  just too tempting to pass up. Take one beautiful brand identity designed by the talented Caroline, some of the loveliest clients and an oh-so-necessary research trip to the Lake itself to meet up with the couple this was one of those dream jobs that I just couldn't turn down!.

THE PROJECT

The brief was simple: create a structure and copy compelling enough to achieve My Lake Como Wedding Planner's commercial objectives for 2016. Of course, things are never quite that straightforward once you start work.

I wanted to give Gemma and David all the communication tools they would need to convert their enquiries into paying clients. So that involved developing a customer archetype to help us all visualise clearly who their ideal client was before moving on to the writing.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Key to helping them differentiate themselves at the initial enquiry stage was a set of PDF brochures and case studies (we called them Love Stories) that they could use throughout the sales process.

I also re-planned their proposal and venue information documents and, of course, wrote the copy for their website.

The website design is currently underway and due to be launched soon. I can't wait to see the impact all of this has on their business!
